On September 6-7, 2018, at the Litwiński Hotel in Tęgobórz, a conference was organized by the Polish Association of Road Carriers GALICJA and the National Association of Road Transport Employers (OZPTD) entitled "Polish road transport versus new regulations limiting access to the market”. The meeting was attended by about 400 representatives of: transport companies, truck manufacturers, Road Transport Inspection, National Labor Inspectorate, Polish Chamber of Insurance, local government, parliament, government, including the Minister of Infrastructure and Construction Andrzej Adamczyk.
The presentation panel discussed, among others:
- selected social aspects of driving as a driver,
- new technologies in road transport,
- determinants of growth in motor insurance premiums,
- requirements for the good reputation of carriers - new provisions of the Road Transport Act,
- protectionism in cargo transport in Europe,
- administrative shaping of economic conditions for transport on the single EU market,
- problems resulting from legal regulations encountered by carriers in their activities, possibilities of solving them,
- the carrier's liability for gross negligence of the driver and theft and securing of the load in the light of the CMR Convention - the lecture was delivered by representatives of Galicja Brokers legal adviser Jerzy Klimkowski and broker Richard Bednarski.
