The penalty for the lack of liability insurance for a car tractor, truck, bus in 2021 is:

1/ Up to 3 days - PLN 1,680

2/ From 4 to 14 days - PLN 4,200

3/ Over 14 days – PLN 8,400

If you do not pay the fee imposed by the Insurance Guarantee Fund, the collection is carried out by the tax office in the enforcement mode. In special cases - an exceptionally difficult material and financial situation of the obligated party - the Insurance Guarantee Fund may remit the fee in whole or in part, or divide it into installments.

ATTENTION!

The situation is even worse when we cause an accident with a vehicle without a valid OC policy. In such a case, both the perpetrator of the accident (the driver of the vehicle without a valid insurance policy) and the owner of the vehicle must jointly and severally return the compensation to the Insurance Guarantee Fund, which the Fund will pay to the victims of such an event. The average value of such damage in Poland exceeds PLN 16.5 thousand. PLN, and the record holder has over PLN 1.4 million to return. The highest recourse claim against the driver and the employer was PLN 7,000,000 (no liability insurance in the event of an accident abroad).
