OZPTD Conference Silesian Region 15/10/2020

Ladies and Gentlemen.

Despite the unfavorable conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, on October 15 at the "Pogoria Residence" Hotel, ul. Piłsudskiego 13, 41-300 Dąbrowa Górnicza, a training conference addressed to members and supporters of the National Association of Road Transport Entrepreneurs was held. Representatives of Galicja Brokers, i.e. broker Ryszard Bednarski, broker Marcin Warzyca and attorney Jerzy Klimkowski, had the honor to participate in the conference, who presented the related issues:

1. The role of an insurance broker in the field of servicing transport companies and its impact on reducing the loss ratio in fleets, in the context of the price of insurance policies.

2. Driver's financial and personal liability for causing damage.

3. No liability of the carrier for damage to the goods in the light of the CMR Convention.

Thank you for the invitation and fruitful and substantive discussion.

In addition, the following topics were discussed at the conference:

1. How not to lose a good reputation - practical solutions to protect the Entrepreneur from losing his good reputation, and the transport manager from losing his professional competence certificate. Generating correct descriptions of violations on printouts is the basis for defending and invalidating the violation. Correct operation of the digital tachograph. Using Art. 12 (EC) 561/2006.
2. Securing assets and safe functioning on the transport market - property succession. Opening a related entity for security in operation and tax optimization.
3. The driver's personal file - how it should be built, which records are necessary. Breakdown of remuneration components. Employee claims. Drivers from across the eastern border - how to properly organize their work and what documentation they should have with them.
4. Will the changes introduced by the Mobility Package of August 20, 2020 make companies want to open branches in European countries.
